The Silver Image Gallery
Michael Burns Exhibition
Photograph by Michael Burns
The Silver Image Gallery history has been divided it into four sections, with each section representing one of the four
gallery locations.
Listed below are some of the people that contributed greatly to the success of the gallery in each location.
They represent gallery staff, volunteers, friends and supporters of the gallery. Without their help, The Silver Image Gallery
would not have survived for so many years.
Thank you; Rodney Stuart (workshop director), Richard Neill, Diane Neumaier, Mark Sullo, Steve Delph, Anne Lewin,
Rick Eiber (poster designer), Jack Kegley, Robin Rice, Tony Ivey, Ken Seright, Robert Rabb, and Charles Cowles (mentor).
Thank you for your support and contributions in getting the gallery to Seattle and for helping it to become an established gallery so quickly.
Dan Fear
Gallery Owner / Director 1973 - 1993

IRVING PENN
(New York, Traditional, Black and White, Master)
(Forty Print Retrospective Exhibition)
Images were hand picked from each body of his work. This turned out to be a very expensive exhibition to produce,
and each piece had to be matted and custom framed. Because of the tremendous costs, I made the decision to charge
a $1.00 admission fee. Many people were stunned at being asked for a small fee just to visit an art gallery.
Unfortunately, sales were weak and the gallery lost money with this exhibition. However, it was worth it because
it was
a terrific exhibit and we got a nice thank you note from Irving Penn.
